Lothian Road Police officers are appealing for information following a tragic crash that occurred in East Lothian. The incident took place on the A1 between Dunbar and Cockburnspath at approximately 15.05 BST on Sunday, 15 October, 2023. Emergency services were immediately dispatched to the scene after a collision between a silver Nissan Pixo and a silver Volkswagen Passat.

Sadly, the driver of the Nissan, identified as 87-year-old John Paul from Duns, sustained serious injuries in the crash. He was rushed to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, where he fought for his life until Tuesday, 17 October, when he tragically succumbed to his injuries.
