Man Charged Over Fatal Moped Crash That Killed Tafari Thompson-Mintah

New Charge in Tragic St Paul’s Cray Collision

Justin Barton, 31, from Neasden Lane, NW10, was charged on Sunday, 29 October. He’s set to appear in custody at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 30 October.

Deadly Crash Details

Tafari Thompson-Mintah was riding his moped along Sevenoaks Way, St Paul’s Cray, when he collided with a car around 3.30pm on Monday, 9 October. Emergency services rushed to the scene, but tragically Tafari died instantly.

Ongoing Investigation and Previous Charges

Two other men have already been charged in connection with the crash:

  • Aaron Conway, 38, from Orpington, charged on 16 October.
  • Joseph Barnes, 40, of no fixed address, charged on 14 October.

Both Conway and Barnes remain in custody and will face Old Bailey on 9 January 2024. Tafari’s family have been informed and continue to receive support from police.
