Mother Faces Attempted Murder Charges After Shocking River Incident

A Southampton woman is behind bars, charged with two counts of attempted murder following a terrifying water rescue near Cobden Bridge.

Distress Call Sparks Dramatic Rescue

On Thursday, October 26, at 3:38 pm, Hampshire police received an urgent call: a woman had plunged into the water near Cobden Bridge – with two young children in tow. Emergency teams raced to the scene and managed to pull all three from the water, rushing them to hospital for immediate medical care.

31-Year-Old Rhonda Micetich Arrested and Charged

The accused, 31-year-old Rhonda Micetich of Argyle Road, Southampton, was arrested at the scene. She appeared at Southampton Magistrates Court on November 4 and was remanded in custody.

Next Court Appearance Set for December

Micetich is due back in Southampton Crown Court on Friday, December 1, as the serious case unfolds.
