Canvey Island is reeling after a devastating crash that claimed the life of 20-year-old Connor Burden. The young man was involved in a fatal collision between his e-scooter and a van on Harvest Road at around 5:50pm last Friday, October 27.
Family Heartbreak: ‘Connor Had the Biggest Heart’
Connor suffered critical injuries and died in hospital despite urgent medical care. His grief-stricken mother paid an emotional tribute, calling him “the one wire of the family with the biggest heart.” She recalled how he adored his siblings—especially his baby sister—and treasured his friends.
The family is struggling to come to terms with the loss but is grateful for the overwhelming support from friends and relatives during this dark time. “Fly high, my darling boy,” she said in a poignant farewell.
