Chaos in Deal: 18-Year-Old Rages Through Gardens, Racial Abuse and Assault Alleged
Late-Night Mayhem on Cheriton Road
Kent Police rushed to Cheriton Road at 11.10pm on Monday, August 15, after reports of a violent assault. The suspect, later named as 18-year-old Riley Meadows from Freemen’s Way, Deal, was also accused of aggressive behaviour toward several members of the public.
Gardens Left in Ruins
Meadows allegedly trashed local gardens, smashing lights, plant pots, and even damaging a brick-enclosed flower bed. Furious residents were left counting the costs of the destruction spree.
Racial Abuse and Shocking Police Van Antics
While being arrested, Meadows is said to have racially abused a good Samaritan helping the police. Reports also claim he urinated inside the police van, adding insult to injury.
Serious Charges and Court Appearance
Riley Meadows now faces a string of charges: assault, three counts of criminal damage, and three public order offences — including one racially motivated charge. He was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, August 17.
