Family pays tribute to great-grandmother who died after five-vehicle collision in Wolverhampton
West Midlands Police say She was the ‘greatest mother, grandmother and great-grandmother any family could ever have wanted. These are the poignant words of the family of Mary Wilmore, one of the two women who died after a collision in Ettingshall, Wolverhampton, last month. They have been paying tribute to the 82-year-old as our investigation continues into the fatal incident involving five vehicles in Millfields Road, on 25 November. Mary’s family said: “Mary was the greatest mother, grandmother and great-grandmother any family could ever have wanted. Family was everything to her and she was always kind and generous. We all miss her terribly. “The loss we all feel is huge and things will never be the same. Please respect our family at this sad time to allow us to grieve in private.” A 76-year-old woman also sadly died in the collision which happened at around 3.35pm. Of the further three people who were taken to hospital, two have now been discharged. Detective Sergeant Paul Hughes, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “Our thoughts remain with the families who have been affected by this awful collision. “It remains vital that we fully establish exactly what happened with the five vehicles involved so I’d ask again for anyone who’s not spoken to us, but has information to get in touch. “We’d also ask that people who were driving in the area at the time take a look at their dashcam as it may contain important footage to assist the investigation.” We can be contacted via Live Chat at www.west-midlands.police.uk 8am – midnight or call 101 anytime.
