Forensic Probe at Southampton Home in ‘Little Jo’ Disappearance

Police have wrapped up a detailed forensic search at a Southampton property linked to Joanne Sheen, known to friends and family as ‘Little Jo’. She vanished without a trace nearly three years ago, on December 5, 2019.

Crucial Clues Sought With High-Tech Tools

The search kicked off on December 6 after fresh intelligence hinted the Parsonage Road address might reveal new leads. Forensic experts used specialist lighting to hunt for traces of body fluids like blood and saliva, potentially providing vital DNA evidence. So far, no breakthroughs or arrests have been announced.

This property made headlines before, back in July 2022, when a man climbed onto its roof and hurled tiles, stirring public curiosity.

Mystery Deepens: From Missing Person to Murder Inquiry

Joanne’s family reported her missing on February 22, 2020, months after her last confirmed sighting — travelling from Fareham to Southampton with a friend on December 5, 2019. There were unconfirmed sightings around Southampton in the lead-up to Christmas that year.

What began as a missing person case shifted to a murder investigation, with five arrests made so far. Yet, Joanne’s whereabouts remain a mystery, and no body has been found.

Reward Offered as Police Keep Up Pressure

Crimestoppers has put up to £20,000 on the table for information leading to an arrest, conviction, or recovery of Joanne’s body.

“We remain dedicated to finding out what happened to Jo and will pursue all lines of enquiry,” said Detective Inspector Toby Elcock, the lead investigator.

Joanne is described as a white female, 5ft 1in tall, slim, with long dark brown hair.

Anyone with information is urged to call police on 101 or reach out to Crimestoppers anonymously at 0800 555 111, quoting Operation Blackboard or reference 44200068330.

The community and Joanne’s family desperately seek answers in this chilling, baffling case.
