A 35-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with an arson incident in Worthing. The incident occurred early on Sunday morning when emergency services responded to a report of a car fire on Ringmer Road. The fire, which started in a vehicle parked in a driveway, was threatening to spread to an adjacent house.
The man, a resident of Ringmer Road, faces charges including arson with recklessness potentially endangering life, assaulting an emergency worker, and criminal damage. He was brought before the local magistrates’ court and has been held in custody. His next court appearance is scheduled at a higher court for a plea hearing in early January.
