French authorities detained a Nicaragua-bound Airbus A340, carrying over 300 Indian passengers, at Vatry airport in eastern France on suspicions of human trafficking. The incident, which unfolded on Thursday after the plane landed from the United Arab Emirates for a technical stopover, led to the arrest of two men among the passengers.
Vatry Airport, located 150 kilometres east of Paris, primarily serves budget airlines. The Airbus A340, operated by Romanian company Legend Airlines, reportedly carried Indian nationals who had been working in the UAE.
