Bondi Junction Horror: Did Killer Target Women?
Chaos erupted at Westfield Bondi Junction, NSW, on Saturday when Joel Cauchi launched a brutal knife attack. The death toll stands at six, with five of the victims women. Cops are now probing if female shoppers were deliberately singled out.
Police Zero In on Motive
New South Wales Police Commissioner Karen Webb told ABC News, “The CCTV footage speaks for itself. It’s clear the offender focused on women and avoided men.” Most of those injured are also female, adding weight to the theory that women were the specific target.
PM Albanese Vows Full Probe
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese expressed alarm at the attack’s horrific gender pattern. “It’s deeply concerning,” he said. “We will leave no stone unturned investigating any links to misogynist groups or ideologies.”
