Huge Blaze Engulfs Evri Parcel Depot in Avonmouth

A massive fire has erupted at a parcel depot operated by courier firm Evri in Avonmouth, Bristol, sending thick plumes of black smoke billowing into the sky and visible for miles around.

Avon Fire and Rescue Service has issued a warning to local residents, urging them to keep their windows and doors shut as the dense smoke blankets the area.

The depot is situated within the Access 18 industrial estate, approximately seven miles from the heart of Bristol.

Images circulating on social media capture the intensity of the blaze, with flames engulfing stacks of parcels and vehicles. The magnitude of the fire is evident from photographs showing the smoke rising high above the industrial estate, visible even to motorists on the nearby M5 motorway.

Concerns about potential evacuations have been raised, with footage shared online capturing residents discussing the possibility.

Avon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service has confirmed their presence at the scene, stating, “We’re currently in attendance at a warehouse fire in Avonmouth. We would advise people living or working in the local area to close their doors and windows.

As the situation unfolds, updates are being provided via the fire service’s Twitter page. Presently, 16 appliances are engaged in firefighting efforts. There is no information available yet regarding any injuries resulting from the blaze.
