Avon Fire and Rescue Service has warned nearby residents to keep windows and doors firmly shut amid the choking smoke. The depot is located within the Access 18 industrial estate, just seven miles from Bristol city centre.

Firefighters Battle Blaze with 16 Appliances

Avon and Somerset Fire and Rescue confirmed they are on scene, stating: “We’re currently attending a warehouse fire in Avonmouth. People living or working nearby are advised to stay indoors with doors and windows closed.” Sixteen fire engines are tackling the inferno. No injuries have yet been reported.
