Explicit Snapchat Chats Spark Investigation
A West Sussex social worker has landed in hot water over serious sexual offence allegations involving children. The disturbing case emerged on 3rd March when explicit messages surfaced on a teenage girl’s Snapchat account, revealing conversations with an adult male.
Thomas Weller Arrested in Horsham
The suspect, 33-year-old Thomas Weller from Horsham, was quickly tracked down and arrested on 24th March. Police moved fast after identifying him as the man exchanging the inappropriate messages with the minor.
Serious Charges Filed
Weller now faces multiple charges including sexual communication with a child, attempting to engage in such communication, and three counts of unauthorized computer access with intent to commit further offences.
Remanded in Custody at Brighton Court
He appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on 13th April and was remanded in custody pending further legal action.
