A man has been charged following a fire in Dover – UKNIP

Kent Police was called at around 4pm on Tuesday 23 April 2024 to a report of a fire at a property in Roosevelt Road.

Officers attended along with Kent Fire and Rescue Service, who extinguished the fire and occupants of the building were evacuated.

South East Coast Ambulance Service also attended and a man was taken to hospital, from where he was later discharged.

On Wednesday 24 April, officers charged Dennis Ryan, of Roosevelt Road, with arson with intent to endanger life.

Mr Ryan, 59, was remanded to appear before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 25 April.
