Sussex Cop Denies Deadly Crash Charges at Old Bailey

A Sussex Police officer has denied causing the death of a man hit by his patrol car in East Sussex.

PC Christopher Corker, 40, from Worthing, appeared at the Old Bailey over the tragic death of 27-year-old Arthur Holscher-Ermert. The fatal crash happened just after 11.10pm on 30 April 2022 in Peacehaven.

Charges and Plea

PC Corker faces charges of causing death by dangerous driving and causing death by careless or inconsiderate driving. He firmly pleaded not guilty to both counts during the hearing.

The court granted PC Corker unconditional bail as he awaits trial. The case is set to kick off on 5 August at the Old Bailey.
