Big Boys Back on Channel 4 After Jack Rooke’s BAFTA Win!
Fresh from Jack Rooke’s BAFTA and RTS triumph as Comedy Writer, the hit show Big Boys is making a roaring return to Channel 4. Fans get ready—the entire beloved cast is back! Dylan Llewellyn, Jon Pointing, Camille Coduri, Katy Wix, Izuka Hoyle, Olisa Odele, Harriett Webb, and Annette Badland all reprise their roles. Expect shocks, laughs, and some serious surprises!
Uni Life Gets Real in Series Three
Created, written, and narrated by Jack Rooke, Big Boys is a heartwarming comedy-drama about an unlikely friendship. Shy, newly-out Jack (Dylan Llewellyn) and the loud, laddish Danny (Jon Pointing) navigate student life together.
In the upcoming third series, the gang face their final year at Brent Uni. Brace for the chaos of deadlines, dissertations, dating dramas, and even the heartbreak of Louis Walsh leaving X-Factor—for Jack, at least. Peggy and Shannon dive into new romances amid endless nappy changes. Meanwhile, Jack and Danny’s friendship faces the biggest challenge yet: stepping into proper adult life. Will they stick together or part ways?
Creator and Channel 4 Bosses Buzzing for Big Boys’ Return
“It’s been 10 years since I graduated Uni, and now I’m back with a clapperboard to relive all those cringe-y moments,” said Jack Rooke. “The response to series 2 was beautiful. We’re like a girl band roaring to return like a pack of rabid dogs to put on a sexy, cringe, big funny show for you all!”
Charlie Perkins, Channel 4 Head of Comedy, said: “‘Big Boys’ keeps piling on the laughs. Series 2 blew up from the acclaimed first series, connecting with everyone—from comedy geeks to the casual viewers. We’re excited for what Jack and the Roughcut team have in store next.”
Ash Atalla from Roughcut TV added: “This series is a beautiful journey. Very few shows make me laugh and cry during editing. We’re proud of a comedy that hits you so hard emotionally.”
