Officials have confirmed that the shooter responsible for the incident at former President Donald Trump’s rally in Butler County, Pennsylvania, is dead. The Secret Service has reported that they were the ones who neutralized the shooter, ensuring the safety of all attendees.

Footage from the event shows a body, believed to be that of the shooter, being carried out of the venue by emergency personnel. The swift response by the Secret Service was instrumental in preventing further harm during the chaotic scene.

In addition to the deceased shooter, one other person has been taken into custody. Authorities are investigating their potential involvement and any connection to the shooting.

The rally, held on Saturday afternoon, was abruptly disrupted when gunshots were fired. Former President Trump was seen grabbing his ear, with blood visible on his cheek. Despite the apparent injury, Trump quickly signalled to the crowd that he was not severely hurt before being escorted away by Secret Service agents. He was later taken to the hospital and is reported to be “fine,” according to his campaign.
