Oasis Issues Warning as Pre-Sale Tickets for Reunion Tour Resold for Thousands

Oasis has issued a stern warning after discovering that pre-sale tickets for their highly anticipated reunion tour are being resold for exorbitant prices on secondary markets.

In a statement posted on their official X account, the iconic band cautioned fans about the ongoing resale of tickets at inflated prices. We have noticed people attempting to sell tickets on the secondary market since the start of the pre-sale. Please note, that tickets can ONLY be resold, at face value, via @Ticketmaster and @Twickets. Tickets sold in breach of the terms and conditions will be cancelled by the promoters,” the band wrote.

The warning follows a wave of frustration from fans who were angered to see tickets, secured by those with early access codes from a pre-sale ballot, being resold for over £2,000. The pre-sale, which took place between 7pm and 10pm on Friday evening, allowed a limited number of people the chance to purchase tickets on a “first come, first served” basis.

However, almost immediately after going on sale, floor-standing tickets began appearing on resale platforms like StubHub, with prices ranging from £807 to £1,500. On Viagogo, some of the most sought-after tickets were listed for over £2,000.

The band’s warning underscores the frustration felt by many loyal fans who were unable to secure tickets at face value and now face the prospect of paying inflated prices or missing out on the chance to see the band reunite.

Oasis has urged fans to avoid purchasing tickets from unauthorized resale platforms, reminding them that tickets sold outside of official channels could be voided, leaving buyers out of pocket and without entry to the event.

As the reunion tour approaches, the band’s call for fairness in ticket distribution highlights the ongoing challenges in managing ticket resales and ensuring that genuine fans have access to events at reasonable prices.
