Sydenham Man Threatens Victim with Meat Cleaver

Wayne Brown, 37, of Allwood Close, Sydenham, pleaded guilty to assaulting a man and causing actual bodily harm. He also threatened the victim with a meat cleaver on August 19.

Brown was handed a 24-week prison sentence, suspended for one year. He must also complete 100 hours of unpaid work and 25 days of rehabilitation as part of his punishment.

Shoplifter from Deptford Faces Custody

Kirsti Simpson, 29, from Exeter Way, Deptford, admitted to multiple thefts at Boots, The Co-op, and Waterstones earlier this year. Simpson remains in custody ahead of her sentencing.

17-Year-Old Robs Wallet and Phone in Clapham

A 17-year-old youth, name withheld for legal reasons, confessed to robbing a wallet, bank details, and a phone in Clapham. The teen received a youth rehabilitation order.

As part of the order, the youth is banned from entering Clapham Common and Wandsworth Common areas.
