A person has tragically died after being struck by a train at Thornton Heath station on Brigstock Road. The incident occurred just before 8:20 pm yesterday (September 20).
Emergency services, including officers from the British Transport Police and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service, rushed to the scene. Unfortunately, the individual was pronounced dead shortly after their arrival.
Authorities have confirmed that the incident is not being treated as suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
Train services between Streatham and Selhurst were temporarily halted while the situation was dealt with, but the lines have since reopened.
