Two Charged Over Fatal Stabbing of Josh McKay in Waltham Forest
A man and a woman have appeared in court charged with the murder of 33-year-old Josh McKay, who was fatally stabbed in Waltham Forest.
Suspects Appear in Court
Tenika Parker, 28, from Canterbury Road, and Daniel Cooper, 21, of Gosport Road, both in Waltham Forest, have been formally charged with murder. Parker faced Thames Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 3 October. Cooper appeared at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court the next day. Both were remanded in custody and will next appear at the Old Bailey on Tuesday, 8 October.
Third Suspect Previously Charged
Renai Belle, 29, of Edmonton, was charged with murder earlier in July. He appeared at the Old Bailey on 12 July. A trial date for all three suspects has been set for 28 April 2025 at the Old Bailey.
Incident Details and Appeal
The tragic stabbing happened shortly before 3pm on Saturday, 6 July, on Lea Bridge Road, E10. Despite emergency services’ efforts, Josh McKay died at the scene.
