Train Fire at Bearsted Rail Station Brought Under Control

 

Emergency crews responded to a train fire at Bearsted Rail Station in Ware Street, Bearsted, on Tuesday, October 15, 2024. Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to the scene, deploying five fire engines and a bulk water carrier to tackle the blaze at its peak.

Firefighters worked quickly to bring the fire under control, and the operation has since been scaled down to two fire engines. Crews are currently assisting Network Rail and Southeastern as they manage the aftermath of the incident.
