Tributes Paid to West Midlands Firefighter Rob Punshon Following His Passing

West Midlands Fire Service (WMFS) has announced the tragic death of one of their beloved colleagues, Rob Punshon. The firefighter, who had been an integral part of the service for over 17 years, passed away recently, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and bravery.

In a heartfelt statement issued WMFS expressed their devastation:
“We are devastated by the death of our beloved colleague, Rob Punshon. Rob joined us in June 2007, serving his first four years at Perry Barr, then Aldridge before becoming an integral part of the Response team. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.”

Rob Punshon began his career with WMFS in June 2007, initially stationed at Perry Barr. After four years, he moved to Aldridge Fire Station, where he continued his exemplary service. Over the years, he became a key member of the Response team, contributing to the safety and well-being of countless residents across the West Midlands.
