Witness Appeal After Woman Injured in Herne Bay Collision

 

Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision in Herne Bay that left a woman injured. The incident occurred around 7:40 am on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, on Greenhill Road near the Hawks Road junction.

Collision Details

A white Citroën travelling north along Greenhill Road collided with a black Land Rover Discovery coming from the opposite direction. The Land Rover left the scene but was later found abandoned in Brook Close.

The woman involved in the collision sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Her current condition has not been disclosed.

Arrest Made

A 29-year-old man from Whitstable was arrested later the same day in connection with the incident. He has since been released on bail as officers continue their investigation.

Appeal for Information

Kent Police are urging anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the vehicles prior to the incident to come forward. They are also appealing to anyone with dashcam footage, private CCTV, or doorbell footage from the area to assist in their enquiries.
