Woman Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash on Greenhill Road, Herne Bay

Police are hunting witnesses after a car crash in Herne Bay left a woman hurt. The smash happened at around 7:40am on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, near the Hawks Road junction on Greenhill Road.

Hit-and-Run Details

A white Citroën heading north collided head-on with a black Land Rover Discovery coming the other way. The Land Rover fled the scene but was later found abandoned in Brook Close.

The injured woman was rushed to hospital. Her condition remains undisclosed.

Arrest Made – But Man Released on Bail

Police arrested a 29-year-old man from Whitstable later the same day. He has since been released on bail while officers dig deeper into the crash.

Police Appeal for Witnesses and Footage

Kent Police are asking anyone who saw the collision or the vehicles beforehand to come forward. They are especially keen to view any dashcam, CCTV, or doorbell footage from nearby.
