Tommy Robinson Ordered to Remain in Custody Until Monday Following High Court Decision

 

Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, also known as Tommy Robinson, 41, of no fixed address, has been ordered by the High Court to remain in custody until Monday. This decision follows his arrest for failing to provide the PIN to his mobile phone under Schedule 7 of the Terrorism Act 2000. The charge is related to an incident on Sunday, July 28, when Yaxley-Lennon was stopped by officers in Folkestone.

Yaxley-Lennon was bailed earlier and scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on November 13, 2024. However, following the High Court’s ruling this morning, he will remain detained at Folkestone Police Station until Monday.

Despite Yaxley-Lennon’s detention, the planned march in support of him is still expected to go ahead as scheduled.

 



Authorities have yet to provide further details on how the march will be managed or whether additional measures will be put in place in light of his ongoing custody.

A Spokesman for Kent Police Said: Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, aged 41, of no fixed address, was charged on Friday 25 October with one count of failing to provide the PIN to his mobile phone under Schedule 7 of the Terrorism Act 2000.

The charge is in relation to an incident in Folkestone on Sunday 28 July after officers stopped Mr Yaxley-Lennon under Schedule 7 of the Terrorism Act 2000.

Mr Yaxley-Lennon has been bailed to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on 13 November 2024.
