Detectives have charged a suspect in connection with multiple burglaries across West Kent, following an extensive investigation into incidents reported earlier this year. Victor Herrera, 46, was arrested on Friday, October 25, at Heathrow Airport and subsequently charged with conspiracy to commit burglaries in several Kent locations, including Penshurst, Otford, Knockholt, and Chipstead.
The burglaries, which took place on March 1, 2024, involved the theft of jewellery and computer equipment from residential properties. In addition to the Kent charges, Herrera was also charged with a burglary at an address in Bristol, Somerset.
Mr. Herrera, who has no fixed address, was remanded in custody and appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday, October 28, 2024. The investigation is ongoing, as detectives continue to gather evidence related to the string of burglaries across multiple locations.
