Two Men Shot in Canning Town – Police Launch Witness Appeal

Detectives are hunting for witnesses after a shooting in Canning Town left two men hospitalised. Police were called at 2:05 a.m. on Saturday, October 26, following reports of gunfire on Thorne Close, near Rogers Road in E16.

Victims Treated – No Life-Threatening Injuries

Officers and the London Ambulance Service rushed to the scene and found two men aged 25 and 27 with gunshot wounds. Both were taken to hospital and remain under treatment, but thankfully neither suffered life-threatening injuries.

Specialist Crime Unit Leads Investigation

The Specialist Crime Command has taken over the case. Detective Inspector Iain Wallace urged anyone in the area at the time to come forward. “Two men were shot, and it is vital that we identify who is responsible,” he said.

He also encouraged locals and drivers to check any dashcam footage that might help catch the shooter.

Police Patrols Boosted – No Arrests Yet

No arrests have been made so far, but police are intensifying enquiries. Extra patrols will be deployed in the area in the coming days to reassure residents.
