A home in East Greenwich sustained significant damage after a fire broke out late on the evening of November 13. The London Fire Brigade received an emergency call at 10:48 p.m., alerting them to the blaze on Earlswood Street, followed by three additional calls reporting the same incident.
In response, four fire engines and 25 firefighters from stations across East Greenwich, Greenwich, and Deptford were dispatched to the scene. Firefighters used a 32-meter turntable ladder to observe and combat the flames from above.
The fire destroyed the first floor of the house and caused damage to a portion of the roof space. Crews worked through the night, fully extinguishing the blaze by 12:35 a.m. on November 14. Fortunately, there were no reports of injuries.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
