Gun Attack on Family Shakes West London
A second man has been nabbed on suspicion of attempted murder after a brutal shooting in Ladbroke Grove, West London, seriously injuring an eight-year-old girl.
The terrifying attack happened on Sunday evening, November 24, when a gunman opened fire on a car parked on Southern Row. Inside were the young girl, her 34-year-old dad, her two-year-old sibling, and her 32-year-old mum. The toddler and mother escaped unscathed, but the girl and her father were both hit by gunfire.
Victims’ Conditions and Arrests
The brave eight-year-old underwent emergency surgery on Monday and is now reported to be in stable condition. Her father remains hospitalised with potentially life-changing injuries.
Police stepped up their operation, arresting a 32-year-old man on Tuesday, November 26. He’s currently held on suspicion of attempting to murder the two victims and illegal possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. This arrest came after a 22-year-old man was detained on Monday, November 25, but later bailed until February.

Superintendent Owen Renowden slammed the shooting as “an appalling attack” and urged witnesses or anyone with information to step forward. Officers have boosted patrols in the area to reassure locals and gather crucial intel.
