Ilford Man Beaten to Death in Brutal Street Attack by Five Men
A shocking murder investigation is underway in Ilford after a man was savagely beaten to death in a prolonged street brawl.
Victim Suffered Fatal Blows from Baseball Bats
Police were called shortly after 2:40am on Sunday, 12 November, following reports of a fight at the High Road junction with Connaught Road, IG1. Officers found a man in his twenties with critical injuries.
The victim was rushed to an East London hospital but died around 4:35am. Police have yet to officially identify him. A post-mortem will be arranged soon.
Detective Pleads for Witnesses and Video Evidence
Detective Chief Inspector Andrew Packer, leading the inquiry, described the attack as “brutal” and “prolonged.” He revealed the victim was attacked by a gang of up to five men, wielding weapons including baseball bats.
“This group inflicted fatal blows on the male. We urgently need anyone who was near Ilford High Road and Connaught Road at the time to come forward,” said DCI Packer.
“If you have footage from the scene, it could be crucial. Please send any videos to [email protected]. Your help is vital.”
No Arrests Yet – Police Maintain Crime Scene
So far, no arrests have been made. A crime scene remains in place as officers continue their enquiries.
