A person has tragically died following an incident at Beckenham Junction Railway Station on Saturday morning (December 21).
The London Ambulance Service was alerted to the scene at 10:25am and dispatched an incident response officer and a medic in a fast-response car. Despite their prompt arrival and efforts, the individual was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Impact on Rail Services
As emergency services responded, the electricity supply on the Bexleyheath line was temporarily switched off to ensure their safety. This caused train services to be diverted between Lewisham and Dartford, rerouted via the Woolwich and Sidcup lines.
Rail passengers were advised to check for updates on their journeys as services were disrupted for several hours.
