Police in Hyndburn are appealing for information after receiving reports of a man allegedly acting inappropriately towards young girls in Accrington town centre.
The individual is described as having a lip piercing, a nose stud, and tattoos on both hands. Lancashire Police have shared a CCTV video of the man walking in the area and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said:
“We want to speak to this man regarding reports that he has approached young girls in Accrington town centre and acted inappropriately towards them.
Public Reassurance
The police acknowledged the concerns this incident may raise, particularly among parents and guardians.
“We understand these reports will be concerning to members of the public, particularly those with children, and we want to reassure you that we are making every effort to locate the individual in the CCTV footage,” the spokesperson added.
Call for Information
Police have advised the public not to approach the man if seen but instead report immediate sightings by calling 999. Non-urgent information can be reported by:

Additionally, authorities have urged the individual featured in the CCTV footage to present themselves at the nearest police station.
