A baby has been rushed to hospital after an unmarked police car smashed into another vehicle at a Catford junction this morning. The crash happened around 9:30am on Friday, January 24, 2025, at the busy intersection of Brownhill Road (South Circular A205) and Torridon Road.
Road Closed as Emergency Crews Rush to Scene
Emergency services shut the road for about an hour while attending the scene. Transport for London confirmed police officers were guiding traffic and helping clear the wreckage. Thankfully, the infant was taken to hospital but escaped any life-changing injuries.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Around 9.30am on Friday, 24 January, officers were called to the junction between Brownhill Road and Torridon Road, SE6, after an unmarked police car collided with another car. A baby was hospitalised, though they did not suffer any life-changing injuries.”
