A headteacher has moved to reassure parents after a child brought a knife into Foxhill Junior School in the New Forest.
Parents were informed of the incident via email correspondence from Headteacher Lucy Howe, who confirmed that the situation was swiftly handled and that no children were harmed.
The incident occurred on Thursday, 7 February, prompting immediate action from staff upon discovery of the prohibited item.

I know you will understandably be concerned about this and I want to assure you that we have treated this extremely seriously, and that at no stage did any child come to any harm, she wrote.
