Tragic Crash on A26 Near Uckfield Claims Young Woman’s Life
Police are probing a fatal smash on the A26 at Herons Ghyll. The horror unfolded on Wednesday, 5 February, around 2:45 pm when two cars collided head-on.
Deadly Head-On Collision
A white Hyundai i10, driving south, crashed into a blue Hyundai Ioniq coming the other way. The 25-year-old female driver of the i10 was rushed to hospital but sadly died from her injuries. Her family has been informed and is getting specialist support.
The driver of the Ioniq, a 64-year-old man, suffered minor injuries and has been released from hospital.
Police Launch Investigation and Seek Witnesses
Police are hunting for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam, doorbell, or CCTV footage around the crash. They want to piece together exactly what happened.
