Teenager Stabbed in Brighton Altercation as Police Launch Investigation

Emergency services rushed to North Street, Brighton, yesterday evening following reports of an altercation that resulted in a teenager being stabbed.

Sussex Police confirmed that officers responded to an incident involving three young people at around 5:40 pm on Tuesday, February 11. A 16-year-old boy from Brighton sustained a knife injury and received treatment from paramedics at the scene before being taken to hospital. His injury is not believed to be life-threatening.

A search of the area was conducted, but officers were unable to locate any suspects connected to the incident. Police have launched an investigation, reviewing CCTV footage and appealing for witnesses to come forward.

A spokesperson for Sussex Police said:

“Further CCTV and witness enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances, and anyone with information is asked to contact police. You can make a report online, or by calling 101 quoting reference 1035 of 11/02. There will be increased patrols in the area to provide reassurance.”

South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) also attended the scene. A spokesperson told Sussex News:

“We attended the scene following reports of a person with a leg injury. The person was assessed and treated before being taken to hospital.”
