Richmond Hill Closed as Police Cordon Remains in Place after two stabbed

A busy stretch of Richmond Hill Drive in Bournemouth has been cordoned off by police following reports of an “active crime” early this evening. Residents along the road have witnessed an increased police presence, including armed officers, ten police cars, and several unmarked vehicles.

At 7:23 pm, Dorset Police received a report of an assault involving two men on Richmond Hill Drive. Shortly thereafter, emergency services were deployed to the scene. By 8:55 pm, a police cordon had been established as investigations commenced, with local residents observing the rapid response.

According to a Dorset Police spokesperson, “It is reported that both men sustained stab wounds and have been taken to hospital for treatment. We do not have a condition update at this time.” The spokesperson added that one of the men has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. An investigation is underway to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

Local witnesses confirmed that more than ten emergency vehicles were present on the scene, further intensifying the police operation. The cordon remains in place as officers continue their enquiries.

Residents are urged to avoid the area while police work to secure the scene and gather evidence. Dorset Police are calling on anyone with further information or concerns to come forward and speak with an officer.
