Teenagers Robbed in Shocking Bexhill Town Centre Attack
Police hunt for witnesses after a brazen robbery in Bexhill town centre on the evening of February 24.
Victims Threatened and Stolen From on Endwell Road
At around 8.25pm, a teenage boy and girl were walking along Endwell Road when a gang of youths confronted them. The pair were threatened and had personal items snatched, including a prized Canada Goose coat and a Nike rucksack.
Swift Police Action Leads to Arrest
The terrified victims crossed the nearby railway bridge and sought help at a local shop, where police were alerted immediately. Officers acted fast, arresting a 21-year-old man on suspicion of robbery. He has been released on bail with strict conditions pending further investigation.
Greater Patrols and a Call for Witnesses
Sussex Police believe others involved in the robbery came from the Devonshire Square area. Patrols in Bexhill have been boosted to reassure residents and deter further trouble.
