Teenagers Targeted in Robbery in Bexhill

Police are seeking witnesses and information following a robbery in Bexhill town centre on February 24.

At around 8.25pm, a teenage boy and girl were walking along Endwell Road when they were approached by a group of young people. They were threatened, and personal items including a Canada Goose coat and a Nike rucksack were stolen.

The victims crossed the railway bridge and later went to a nearby shop, where police were called. They were left shaken but have received support from officers.

Officers responded promptly, arresting a 21-year-old man on suspicion of robbery. He has since been bailed with strict conditions. Authorities believe others from the group approached the victims from the Devonshire Square area.

Police have increased patrols in the area to provide reassurance.

Witnesses or anyone with relevant information, including mobile phone, CCTV, dashcam, or doorbell footage, are urged to contact Sussex Police online or call 101, quoting serial 1242 of 24/02.
