Major Search Underway for Missing Chippenham Man

A major search operation is underway for 21-year-old Sebastian, who was last seen late last night (Thursday, 27 February).

Sebastian was spotted at approximately 11:30pm after visiting The Black Horse pub on London Road, before reportedly heading towards the town centre.

Police and Rescue Teams Launch Urgent Search

Wiltshire Police and Wiltshire Search and Rescue (WILSAR) have mobilized specialist teams in a desperate bid to find him.

Fresh reports suggest he was last seen in the Lovers Walk/Gladstone Road area, near the River Avon, raising concerns about his whereabouts.

At around 8pm, officers deployed specialist equipment to search the weir area. Yellow wires were lowered into the water from the Radial Gate, but nothing of concern was uncovered.

River Search Intensifies

Dozens of WILSAR volunteers have been deployed from their RV point in Westmead Lane. Reports indicate that boats have been requested to conduct a thorough river search.

Description of Sebastian

Sebastian is described as:

  • White male
  • 5ft 10in tall
  • Slim build
  • Brown hair with a fringe
  • Last seen wearing a grey jumper, blue jeans, and a beige fur-lined jacket

Police Appeal for Information

Wiltshire Police have stressed that his disappearance is out of character, and his family is extremely concerned for his welfare.

A police spokesperson urged the public:
“If you have any information on Sebastian’s whereabouts, please call us immediately on 999.”

The search remains ongoing, and authorities are asking local residents with CCTV or dashcam footage from the area to check their recordings for any potential sightings.
