Shock Attack in Exhibition Fields

Police are probing a disturbing incident at Exhibition Fields, Exeter, on Thursday, February 27. Around 2:45pm, a man reportedly approached a mother pushing her children in a pram and assaulted her before fleeing the scene.

The altercation took place in the park situated between Exhibition Way and Beacon Heath, prompting swift police action.

Police Seek Witnesses and Footage

Officers are urging anyone who spotted suspicious activity between 1pm and 3pm in the area to step forward. CCTV, doorbell, or dashcam footage could prove vital in cracking the case.

A man in his 30s from Exeter has been arrested but released on bail as inquiries continue.

Detective Inspector Dave Ireland said: “Understandably, incidents of this nature can be distressing and cause concern within the community. Fortunately, they are rare.”
