Teenager Shot Dead in Broad Daylight in South London

A 16-year-old boy was gunned down in broad daylight on Tuesday afternoon in Stockwell, southwest London. The chilling shooting has sparked a full-scale murder investigation by the Metropolitan Police.

Emergency services, including London’s Air Ambulance and the London Ambulance Service, rushed to Paradise Road, SW4, at 3:21 PM on 4 March following reports of the shooting. Despite frantic efforts, paramedics pronounced the teenager dead at the scene.

Police are now working to identify the victim and notify his family.

Manhunt Underway as Police Hunt Gunman

Forensic teams, including Scene of Crime Officers (SOCO), have been scouring the area. Officers were seen examining an escalator for blood patterns, believed to be connected to the suspect’s escape route.

Superintendent Gabriel Cameron, leading the investigation, said:

“This is an enormously shocking incident which I imagine will cause huge distress to the local community. Our thoughts are with the young boy’s family at this devastating time. Local officers are on the scene gathering CCTV and speaking to witnesses to piece together what has happened. They will be supported by specialist homicide investigators shortly. Please rest assured we will work around the clock to identify and find those responsible.”

No Arrests Yet – Police Plead for Witnesses

So far, no arrests have been made. Police have set up a crime scene with cordons in place while carrying out extensive forensic investigations and witness interviews.
