Lauren Goodger Heartbroken as Baby Daughter Dies Just Two Days After Birth
Reality star Lauren Goodger has revealed the devastating news that her baby daughter, Lorena, died just two days after being born.
Tragic Loss After Healthy Birth
Lauren, best known from The Only Way Is Essex, said Lorena was born “without any pregnancy or labour complications” but sadly passed away on Friday at just two days old. The cause of her death has not been disclosed.
The 35-year-old shared her heartbreak with her 750,000 Instagram followers, writing: “Words can’t describe as a mother losing your baby.”
A Mother’s Heartbreak
Lauren, who announced her pregnancy in January, had welcomed her first child, Larose, in July 2021. She had previously posted: “It’s another new chapter of my life… time goes quickly make the most of it.”
On Sunday, she paid tribute to Lorena, calling her: “the most beautiful healthy baby I’ve ever seen, just like her sister.”
“I will never ever get over this but I will learn how to live every day with Lorena in my heart. She will always be with me and I will be with her again one day,” Lauren said.
Calls for Privacy and Support
The star has asked photographers and media alike to respect her family’s privacy during this “huge period of grieving.”
Thousands have reached out with support on Instagram, including former TOWIE co-stars. Danielle Armstrong wrote: “Oh darling heartbroken for you sending you strength and love and hope you get the respect and privacy you need to grieve xxxx.” Amy Childs added: “Sending you love Lauren xxxx.”
