Bradley Kain, 25, was tearing down Leam Lane last December at 55mph in a 30mph zone. Behind the wheel of a 123, Kain pleaded guilty to two charges of causing serious injury by careless driving. Judge Adams ripped into his “reckless driving” that left victims with life-altering injuries.
“Your reckless driving has caused immense suffering to these women, who will live with the injuries you inflicted for a long time.”
Yet despite the horror, Kain dodged prison. He was handed a 12-month jail sentence – suspended for 18 months – and banned from driving for two years.
Victims and Public Outrage
One victim slammed Kain’s conduct as “disgraceful and cowardly”, warning she’ll “never fully recover” from the trauma.
The light sentence has sparked anger, questioning justice for victims of dangerous driving. Two women were left with life-changing injuries, yet Kain walks free, with no jail time served – just an 18-month suspended sentence.
