Woman Banned from Driving After High-Speed M11 Chase on Three Tyres

A woman who drove at high speed along the M11 near Cambridge with only three inflated tyres has been banned from driving for five years.

Vicki Denyer, 41, of Whittlesey Road, Peterborough, was behind the wheel of a white Mercedes when she swerved across lanes of the motorway in a dangerous attempt to evade police.

Officers said the noise of a grinding wheel rim scraping along the road surface was louder than their own sirens as they tried to get Denyer to stop.

The dramatic pursuit ended after police managed to bring the vehicle to a halt safely. Denyer was arrested at the scene and has now been disqualified from driving for five years following a court appearance.

A police spokesperson described her driving as “extremely reckless” and said it posed a serious risk to other road users.

Denyer is also expected to undergo a driving retest before she is legally allowed back on the roads.
