A 41-year-old woman from Peterborough has been slapped with a five-year driving ban after recklessly speeding along the M11 near Cambridge with just three inflated tyres.
Dangerous Police Chase on the Motorway
Vicki Denyer, from Whittlesey Road, was caught behind the wheel of a white Mercedes. She swerved wildly across lanes in a desperate bid to dodge police.
Officers chasing her said the sound of her metal wheel rim grinding against the tarmac was even louder than their sirens.
Reckless Driving Puts Lives at Risk
The high-speed pursuit came to a safe end when police forced Denyer to stop. She was arrested immediately and later banned from driving for five years after a swift court hearing.
A police spokesperson slammed Denyer’s “extremely reckless” driving, warning it posed a serious threat to everyone else on the road.
Long Road to Regaining Licence
Denyer must now pass a driving retest before she can get behind the wheel again. With three flat tyres and a police chase under her belt, it’s a tough road ahead.
