Four Arrested After Brutal Assault on Motorist in Hawkhurst
Fury on a Quiet Lane
Four people have been arrested after a serious attack on a woman driver in Hawkhurst. The terrifying ordeal unfolded on Sunday, 6 April 2025, at around 2.40pm on Water Lane – a one-way street turned crime scene.
The victim, a woman in her 60s, was driving when she spotted a motorcycle and a car heading the wrong way. After pulling over and confronting the biker, she was reportedly assaulted by him and the car’s passengers before they fled.
She suffered serious injuries and was rushed to hospital but, thankfully, has now been discharged.
Four in Custody – Five Officers Injured
Police acted swiftly. On Monday, 7 April, two men aged 26 and 50, and two women aged 21 and 50 were arrested in connection with the attack.
But the drama didn’t end there. During the arrests, five officers were themselves assaulted, adding fuel to an already wild case.
