Man Charged Over Brutal Sainsbury’s Car Park Attack in Tunbridge Wells
A man has been charged after a vicious assault outside a Sainsbury’s in Tunbridge Wells left a victim with serious head injuries.
Violent Dispute Over Parking Space Turns Ugly
Kent Police were called to the Sainsbury’s car park on St John’s Road at around 7.22pm on Sunday, 27 April 2025. Officers responded to reports of a heated argument over a parking spot that quickly escalated into violence.
During the fracas, one man allegedly punched another, inflicting severe head wounds. The victim was rushed to a local hospital for emergency treatment.
Suspect Arrested and Charged
Later that evening, police arrested 32-year-old Troy Firth from Ellenborough Road, Sidcup. He has been formally charged with grievous bodily harm (GBH).
Firth appeared at Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 29 April, where he was remanded in custody. He is due to face Woolwich Crown Court on 27 May.
Kent Police Launch Public Appeal
“This was a serious assault which left the victim with significant injuries. We urge anyone who witnessed the incident or has further information to contact us,” said a Kent Police spokesperson.
Officers are appealing for witnesses and anyone with dashcam or mobile footage from the scene to come forward and assist the ongoing investigation.
