Hero Cop Saves Trapped Biker in Horrific Crash
In January 2022, PC Grace and a colleague rushed to a chaotic crash scene near Bobbing. The aftermath was terrifying, with people screaming and panic all around.
They found a motorcyclist trapped under a flatbed lorry, badly injured and crying out in pain. The lorry’s flatbed was resting on him, and officers knew they had to act fast or the rider wouldn’t survive.
Brave Rescue Under Dangerous Conditions
PC Grace and his team quickly secured a jack and, with help from bystanders, lifted the lorry enough to free the biker. Despite the risk of the lorry collapsing at any moment, PC Grace crawled underneath, dragged the injured rider to safety, and removed his helmet.
He then started CPR and kept the biker alive until paramedics arrived. Miraculously, the motorcyclist survived his terrible injuries thanks to PC Grace’s quick thinking and courage.
Deserved Nominee for Bravery Award
Neil Mennie, Chair of Kent Police Federation, praised PC Grace’s life-saving heroics. “PC Grace showed outstanding courage to free the motorcyclist in such a horrific incident. Without him, the rider would have died.”
He added, “We are all proud of PC Grace. He’s an exceptional officer and a credit to Kent Police.”
PC Grace is now a nominee for the prestigious National Police Bravery Awards. The ceremony will take place in London this July, where officers from across England and Wales will be honoured for extraordinary bravery both on and off duty.
