Gunfire Rocks West Bromwich High Street in Broad Daylight
Police have launched an urgent hunt for witnesses after shots were fired at a vehicle on West Bromwich High Street this morning.
Man in His 20s Seriously Injured
The shooting happened just before 11.35am near the Trinity Way junction. Emergency services rushed to the scene after the gunfire echoed through the busy street.
Shortly after, a man in his 20s turned up at a local hospital with a gunshot wound. He is currently in serious condition, police confirmed.
Area Cordoned Off as Forensics Swarm Scene
West Midlands Police have sealed off the area and are carrying out detailed forensic work. Extra patrols are now out across West Bromwich to reassure local residents and boost safety.
Motorists and pedestrians are urged to avoid West Bromwich High Street, with disruptions expected to last into the evening.

“We urgently need anyone who witnessed the shooting or who has dashcam, CCTV, or phone footage to get in touch,” said a West Midlands Police spokesperson.
